Exercise Classes
We offer a range of classes across pregnancy, postpartum and return to activity for mums and their bubs
Preggie Fit
1 hour floor-based class using various Pilates equipment such as balls, bands and fitness circles to help expecting mums develop awareness of their pelvic floor, strengthen and support their upper and lower back posture, improve shoulder stability, as well as general fitness and flexibility.
Before attending your first class, you will need to book an Initial Pregnancy Assessment with one of our Pre and Post Natal Physiotherapists. Health fund rebates are available for the initial consultation and all classes run by a Physiotherapist. It is advised to gain clearance from your doctor before commencing any new exercise.
Mums and Bubs
1 hour class for our new Mums and their bubs to help rebuild your strength, pelvic floor and core from 6 weeks post-delivery. Bubs from newborns up to 12 months are welcome to be with you during the class and can be involved in some of the exercises. Prams and capsules are also welcome in the room if bub would rather sleep.
You may join these classes at 6 weeks post partum after a short post-natal screening with one of our Women’s Health Physiotherapists beforehand. Health fund rebates are available for the post-natal screening and all classes are run by a Physiotherapist. It is advised to gain clearance from your doctor before commencing any new exercise.
Active Mums
1 hour class with a mix of strength, cardio and Pilates exercises focusing on increasing overall body strength while still incorporating core and pelvic floor exercises, specifically tailored by our Women’s Health Physiotherapists. This class is for women of all ages and is an ideal way to transition from Mums and Bubs (after 1 year post-natal) who wish for a higher intensity class than Pilates in a group environment.
You do not require an initial assessment if you have done Mums and Bubs or our CETS/Pilates classes at Revive. You will require an initial assessment if you have not done any of our classes before. Health fund rebates are available for the initial screening and all classes run by a Physiotherapist. It is advised to gain clearance from your doctor before commencing any new exercise.
